I am commanded by the Air Council to forward, for

the information of Mr. Secretary Amery, the enclosed copy

of correspondence which hae passed between the War Office

and themselves in regard to the proposed use of Kai Tak

aerodrome for an experimental sir meil and passenger

#ervice. In this ocnnection I an aise to refer to the

communicatione from the Poreign office of the lat and 15th

November (copies of which were stated to have been sent

to the Colonial Officej with regard to the appointment of

an aeronauticel adviser to the Centon Government.

The Air Council presume that Fr. Becretary

Amery would be notified diznot by the Governor of the

details of any proposals for the ontubliørment of a civil

aviation service touching liong Kong, and of the arrangments

which the Hong Kong Government contemplate as regordo the

use of Kai Tak aerodrome for that purpose. The Air

Council would be glad to have an opportunity of considering
